The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) has seen a significant increase in participation, with over 200 universities opting for the test for admission to undergraduate programs. This is a substantial increase from the 90 universities that participated last year. The deadline for application has been extended to March 30, with more universities expected to select the test for admissions.

The 206 universities that have chosen to participate include 44 central universities and 33 state universities. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 21-31. Undergraduate admissions will be conducted in all central universities through a common entrance test, as announced by the University Grants Commission (UGC) last year. The debut edition of the CUET-UG was conducted in July last year and saw 14.9 lakh registrations, making it the second biggest entrance exam in the country.
